Current projects
for an easy-peasy solution that has made all the difference!
Frozen-veg specialist GELAGRI entrusted SADE with the rehabilitation of the process-water equalising tank at its production site in Loudéac, Côtes d’Armor. A huge project whose timescale depended on the ripening of peas.
Proposal of a customised solution
To ensure both the water-tightness of the 6,000m3 tank and the recovery of the considerable amount of matter suspended in the vegetable washing water, SADE Engineering and the Rennes Regional Division designed and sized a decanting channel comprising a damping chamber and two decanting compartments that are successively refilled by overflows, over the course of 7 days.
Focus on the decanting channel
At 73.5m long, 4m wide and 3m high, its construction was quick thanks to the installation of 34 pre-cast walls. This approach helped in terms of meeting the tight deadlines and in responding to the resistance to the differences in thrust within and outside of the channel, which was backfilled on one side and practically empty on the other.
Nature waits for no one!
This tank absolutely had to be up and running for the pea preparation and processing operation. Given the unpredictability of nature, the harvest could start at the end of May … or the beginning of June. Working to the worst-case scenario, our teams completed the job in 3 months, exactly on time.
