For the rehabilitation of wastewater networks in tourist areas.
Radeema and Amendis, experts in water cycle and Moroccan subsidiaries of the Veolia Group, are leading a multiannual works programme to ensure high-performance public service, save water resources and protect natural areas.
On behalf of Radeema, works in Marrakech will consist in the rehabilitation by UV close-fit lining of 200m of wastewater pipelines (400mm to 600mm-diameter).
The specificity of these pipelines is their location in two very busy tourist areas of the medina: one section in front of the Dar El Bacha monument, former palace of the Pacha of Marrakesh, and a second at the entrance to the Medersa Ben Youssef Koranic school.
Close-fit lining, the optimal trenchless technique, is perfectly adapted to repairs in confined and busy areas, thanks to its reduced need for workspace and rapidity of operation.
On behalf of Amendis (a Veolia subsidiary) in Tangier, and as part of a twice-renewable purchase order, CTHM will carry out UV close-fit lining works along 546m in three areas of the town:
- A 1st section passing through the former medina
- A 2nd in a district of old, dilapidated housing with no foundations
- A last section under houses currently being built, ranging from 300mm to 600mm in diameter.
CTHM is an expert in trenchless techniques which can be adapted to the often confined spaces of Morocco’s most popular tourist sites.
