SADE expands internationally
Firstly with the creation of a joint venture to allow SADE to submit bids and construct water and wastewater treatment systems in Abu Dhabi. Next with sites in Cameroon and the Central African Republic, then Burkina Faso, Niger, Senegal, Gambia and Liberia. These were followed by projects in Gabon, Vietnam and many other countries.

SADE expands nationwide
Rouen, Arras and Lyon in 1919, Nevers in 1934. It sets up its own integrated design & engineering office to support its water network design & construction work.

Creation of Société Auxiliaire des Distributions d’Eau
During the First World War, countries across Europe suffer colossal loss of life and massive property destruction.
To rebuild, Compagnie Générale des Eaux decides to create a “subsidiary to carry out pipeworks and plumbing works, including all pipeworks, as well as buying and selling of all water-related and similar business concessions”. SADE (Société Auxiliaire des Distributions d’Eau) is founded on October the 1st, 1918.
